Hello!
I'm getting desperate and can't find a solution to my problem.
I'm currently working on a term paper for my studies and have used a term paper from last year as a template so that I don't have to set the formatting etc. again (so I just deleted the text of the old term paper, changed the cover sheet, table of contents, etc. .).
Now the only problem is that we chose all the headings in blue on our old term paper. This time, however, I want everything in black. However, if I change all the headings to black, they will be blue again each time after saving! I don't know what else I can do, I don't know my way around Word 2010 so well, I suspect it might be due to a preset format? (The formatting for the housework last year was done by a fellow student, so I don't know where she posted what etc ...)
I am very grateful to you for your help, as the problem is slowly driving me crazy!
Thank you very much!

Unfortunately I can't tell you more about 2010, but I have found a page here that could help you further:
Basics: Styles in Word - Word - Office.com
PS:
I have Word 2007 but I would recommend a small program to you UBitMenu (Freeware 365 Kb) that brings you Word 2007 / and 2010 into the look of Word 2003. After the installation you only have to click on menu then you come to the Word 2003 look afterwards on format and here you can see exactly what everything is formatted and can change or delete it. Here the address:
UBit Switzerland: UBitMenu for Office 2007/2010 and Outlook 2010
This program simplifies all the settings for WORD + EXEL that are or have been made.
If you're not a pro by the time you're through 2010 with the settings, you can get desperate.
