Medion has been part of the Lenovo Group since 2011. Over the years I have had several Medion PCs and laptops in the medium price range. In comparison with other device manufacturers, the price for identical components was acceptable to cheap. The performance fully met expectations. A PC or laptop with higher quality equipment is certainly also more powerful - but also more expensive. It always depends on what you need.
However, the performance of my devices sank after 3-5 years (slow boot process, failure of a CD drive, graphics error), so that a new device was necessary, as a new installation only brought temporary improvement. These or similar problems occurred with Medion devices and devices from other manufacturers during this period. In this respect, I would consider the quality of Lenovo devices to be acceptable, at least in the price range I use.
On the Internet you can find the statement about Lenovo devices that some devices have proven to be of high quality in tests, while others have proven to be not necessarily inexpensive or of below average quality.

I also think that it always depends on what you need.
For my part, I have actually had good experiences with Lenovo Support. If you need a solid office laptop, then Lenovo is actually the right one.
The new Ultrabook 6665 is actually really good for just under € 500,00
you can also find the latest models here well sorted.
You can't really say that in general, there are good and slightly worse models, it always depends on when and at what price you buy the respective model.
The quality is probably not as good as the "upper class" laptops, but cheap and for the price, in my opinion, the quality is also good
