Google: Insight into private, unsecured webcams
The computer magazine PC-Welt reports that there are now more than enough webcams that can be viewed by outside users without restriction. A search query on Google is often sufficient. The search engine is the perfect platform for this.
Although many of the results from the world's largest search engine operator are primarily just surveillance cameras from airports or train stations, more targeted search queries make it possible to get an insight into private rooms if the webcam and the computer connected to it are not appropriately secured.
For example, if a user searches for the term Live applet searches, he receives over seven hundred relevant pages on which a running webcam can be viewed. With additional search criteria, intersections or server rooms can also be brought onto the screen. With the help of the inurl: dyndns.org you can even get to mostly private cams.
