Hi all,
it's that time again: I need a new laptop. Preferably with a detachable screen, i.e. notebook and tablet in one. At the moment I'm flirting with the Lenovo Miix 720, but I'm not quite sure yet, it is anything but cheap, but according to reviews it seems to be a great device. Does anyone happen to have it? Or can you recommend another device?
Use it mainly for surfing and streaming, but also for work, which is why it should be a decent device.
Thank you in advance for hints and tips!
New notebook - which one?

I also use my notebook for the tasks you have described. Occasionally an (older) game. I am currently using the Medion Akoya P6670 https://www.notebookcheck.com/Test-Aldi-Medi…p.181416.0.html which cost € 599 a few months ago. I was satisfied with the previous model for 5 years. To get an overview, taking your specifications into account, I would use the following purchase advice. So you have enough comparison options.

I've also had really good experiences with Lenovo. The devices are very robust, the battery is relatively stable and I also like the keyboard. And very important: the touchpad gives decent feedback and reacts pleasantly. I've been stupidly annoyed with other manufacturers. Take a look on this page, there are vouchers, also for the model that you mentioned: https://www.gutscheine.org/lenovo/ You can probably save € 300 there, I think you could talk about bargains. Especially with such larger purchases, it is always worth looking for vouchers or particularly cheap offers and promotions, because you can quickly save a few hundred euros. In addition, you would buy it directly from the manufacturer, which always has something for itself, e.g. in the event of a warranty claim, you don't have to settle it through the dealer, but can clarify it directly.
Personally, I think it's pretty cool when you can remove the screen as a tablet to watch movies on the go or in bed, it's just super comfortable and pleasant, no annoying keyboard in the way.
So purely out of interest: What do you want to work with it?
I hope this helps you further, you can let me know how satisfied you are with the device if you get it. Or whatever else you have chosen.
Best regards, -
Somehow I've never ridden well with Medion - it may be up to me, but the HWZ of comparable devices in a slightly higher price range is imho significantly longer.

Somehow I'm totally off the notebook. I will probably get a stationary PC again to work with. I have to say that my Läppi is now around 6 years old and is getting slower and slower and sometimes sounds quite asthmatic. For a short time on the Internet and a little surfing, laptops are quite ok in my opinion, but if you have to work with them properly, I find them totally unsuitable.

What did you decide for?
Do you really want to buy a notebook when you can possibly have something better for the price?I would advise you to use a tablet. I also own a tablet and I have to say that I really can't complain.
You can do everything on it that you can do with a notebook.
The advantage for me is that the tablet is more manageable and it's so easy to take with you.For example, I take it with me when I travel.
Watch movies, series on XXXXXX / but also play games or even work on the tablet. Can't really complain.
