Show file extensions * .pif

Since many viruses, Trojans, mail worms etc. can access the system via this file extension
and although the option "Show all file extensions" has been selected, this extension will be
not shown by Explorer.
A registry change is necessary to display .pif files including their extension.

How do I get the file extension * .pif to be displayed?

Start >> Run >> regedit

Find the following key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ piffile

In the right window area the entry "NeverShowExt"delete or better by double-clicking on"NeverShowExt" the Value 1 forgive.
