Deactivate hibernation

Since an XP installation takes up approx. 1,5 GB of hard disk space,
some people are interested in saving a few MB.
It is an easy way to save several hundred MB
disable hibernation.

Windows XP creates a file for hibernation with the name Hiberfil.sys
Which, depending on the system, can be as large as 400 MB. This depends on
the installed memory

How do I turn off hibernation?

Start >> Control Panel >> Power Options >> Hibernation
The check mark must be removed from the "Activate idle state" checkbox.

By looking at "Free memory space" you can see that the changes have been accepted
to his aha experience. :-)
