NT login, change welcome page.

The welcome page displayed by default offers only limited protection,
because only the password has to be entered here, but the username is always displayed.
However, it is possible to change the login options and, as with Windows NT,
Having to provide username and password. But without the Ctrl-Alt-Del key combination in the Home Edition.

How do I change the login process?

Start >> Settings >> Control Panel >> User Accounts

Deactivate "Use welcome page" (remove tick)

Accept option.

Activate Ctrl-Alt-Del before logging in (XP Professional only):

During the Administration> Local Security Policies> Local Policies / Security Options choose and at "Interactive login: No Ctrl + Alt + Del required" the value deactivate.

Note:

In order to use the fast user switching, you must not be registered in a domain, but in a workgroup. If the welcome page is activated, several users can be logged on at the same time and cannot exit the running programs.
