Burn ISO images no context menu available

win8-100x100 logoIn the tip "Burn ISO images with Windows 8 standard tools"was described how this is done via the context menu and the selection of the entry"Burn disk image”Is to be realized.
The problem: The entry "Burn disk image”Is not available, although Windows definitely provides this function.

How do I add the context menu entry for burning ISO images?

This is very likely due to the file association for files with the extension .iso, also the assignment of ISO files to a specific program with which these files are automatically opened.
If this assignment is not assigned to Windows 8 Explorer, the entries "Provide" and "Burn disk image”Does not even appear when you right-click on an ISO image.

The assignment to the Explorer is quite simple.

Right click on an ISO file and select "from the context menu"Open with" and then "Select standard program ...".
The dialog for the file associations opens.

open with 1
Select the entry "Windows Explorer"and tick the box"Use this app for all ISO files"if this is always to happen.

Now click again with the right mouse button on an ISO image.

Now the entries "Provide" and "Burn disk image”Appear in the context menu at the top.

open with 2
